Global trends demonstrate the existence of the developed countries’ purposeful policy to restore the role of manufacturing industries in the economy, which is due to a number of reasons. First, this sector of the economy ensures the country's technological security, which is particularly important in the context of an aggravated geopolitical situation. Secondly, manufacturing industries provide all spheres of activity with the means of labor and consumer goods. Thirdly, according to the research of leading economists and political scientists, the level and pace of development of manufacturing industries determine the pace of territories’ economic growth. In Russia, the state's development targets for the period up to 2024 are laid down in national projects, as a result, it is interesting to study the issues of state financing of manufacturing industries in the context of the country's development priorities. For this purpose, the manufacturing industries’ contribution to the Russian economy was evaluated, including in comparison with the indicators of the developed countries, which allowed to identify lagging of the Russian Federation behind the global trends. As a result of the analysis of measures that support manufacturing industries at the Federal level, their compliance with certain state development targets has been established, but the effectiveness of the budget funds use is being questioned. Thus, production companies’ managers still note a low level of awareness and availability of support measures. As a possible solution to the problem, the authors propose the ways to improve the activities of regional organizations included into the business support infrastructure, which consist in applying the developed algorithm for interaction with enterprises in order to increase their access to financial support tools. The materials can be useful for researchers interested in the development of production sector and manufacturing industries, authorities and management, as well as business support infrastructure organizations.
