There are various activities that allow regions to achieve economic development goals, such as cooperation in industry research, development of innovative products, stimulation of ideas to develop new directions in business (start-ups), training of highly qualified specialists in the entrepreneurial sector. At the same time, a necessary condition for the successful development of regions becomes the solution of economic problems which requires modern approaches to the management of entrepreneurial and productive activities. It is associated with the organization of technological processes within the framework of entrepreneurial activity. In turn, the implementation of technological processes involves the use of advanced manufacturing technologies that embody advanced scientific achievements related to the transformation of raw materials and components into new products. Nevertheless, in Russia, where entrepreneurial activity is dominated by traditional production with long production cycles and little or no flexibility, the solution to this issue is still in its infancy. Therefore, the purpose of the research is to identify the features of the advanced manufacturing technology development in Russia within the framework of technological entrepreneurship. The article presents the results of the analysis of theoretical aspects and characteristics affecting the issue of advanced manufacturing technologies in various spheres of activity. The entrepreneurial sphere is one of the key areas that allow ensuring economic growth through the introduction of such technologies in production activities. In addition, a review of expert materials (NIST, Boston Consulting Group, Deloitte, Innopraktika) proves that technology entrepreneurs can apply advanced manufacturing technologies to gain a competitive advantage in high-tech sectors. The analysis revealed that Russia mainly uses technologies that are already in use – 99.4%, the share of developed technologies is 0.6%. In conclusion, we have proposed directions for the development of technological entrepreneurship taking into account the benefits of using advanced manufacturing technologies
